We are currently looking for a creative and motivated individual to join our small team: 

Shop and Workshop Assistant – Fridays and Saturdays

This person will work at 22 Joppa Rd, Edinburgh on Fridays and Saturdays.  You'll work together with another member of our team packing and making products on Fridays and then will be in charge of opening up and running the shop on Saturdays, completing the remaining tasks set for you.  The tasks will include: customer service, packaging our products, retail display, preparing orders for posting and other tasks as agreed. 

The ideal candidate will be a natural in a shop environment who enjoys chatting with customers, making them feel welcome and relaxed. As member of a tiny team you will be a crucial part of the business and will ensure all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.

Ideally suited to a student or someone keen to commit to weekend work.

Retail experience is desirable but a love of creativity and good design is a necessity.

Core Tasks:

• Wrapping soaps or labelling products as instructed
• Creating and packing products as instructed
• Customer service in the shop
• Opening and locking up the shop
• Keeping the shop clean and tidy

Additional tasks:

• Recording stock inventory
• Assisting with the processing of online sales
• Creating imagery and copy for social media 
• Assisting with pop-up events / Christmas markets
• Other tasks, as agreed 

 

Hours:  13.5 hours per week: Friday 11.00am – 5.00pm & Saturday 10.00am – 5.30pm with potential to take on extra hours on Sundays at Christmas and other busy periods.

Pay rate:  £12.60 per hour

Start date: 1st August 2025
